QUEENSLAND WINTER FUTSAL LEAGUE
Gold Coast Futsal and Brisbane Magic Futsal are pleased to announce the inaugural Futsal Winter league to begin in April. The league will comprise of 12 Open Male teams. The competition is open to Football Queensland registered players / team’s. The competition will be played on Friday nights (fortnightly) at the Beenleigh Arena, 2 Milne Street, Beenleigh. Teams will play two matches per night.
The dates for the competition are;
• April 9 and 23
• May 7 and 21
• June 4 and 18
• July 2, 16 and 30
• August 6 and 20
• September 3
Teams will play each other twice with the top 4 teams playing off for the Championship series, while the remaining 8 teams will playoff for the Bowl Series. This will guarantee each team will play a minimum of 23 matches.
Teams can sign up a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 15 players – only a maximum of 12 players can be used per game.
The fee for each player to register is $142.00 – this equates to just under $6 per game per player. Player strips can be purchased for $25.00 which includes jersey, shorts and socks.
Matches will be played under FIFA Laws of The Game 2008, each match will have two referees plus a timekeeper and each half is 20 minutes each way.
Entries close Friday 19 March with full payment to be provided with the entry form.

Craig foster tri-series
The inaugural Craig Foster Futsal Challenge Cup will be staged on Saturday 23 January 2010 at the Carrara Indoor Sports Centre on the Gold Coast featuring club sides Brisbane Magic Futsal, Gold Coast Futsal and NSW Far North Coast Futsal.
The tri-series event will take place bi-annually at various venues with Gold Coast Futsal chosen to host the first event in 2010. The age groups will vary from under 10 through to open seniors. Patron of Brisbane Magic Futsal, TV personality and former Socceroo Craig Foster was extremely delighted to have his name associated with this prestigious event.
"The importance of Futsal cannot be underestimated in the development of creative young players and in building wonderful technique and understanding.

fUTSAL TOURNAMENT - 3 CITIES CHALLENGE

Gold Coast Futsal is proud to host the inaugural 3 Cities Challenge. The Tournament showcases the best men’s futsal teams in the region. Players will be showcasing their skills in front of Football Queensland selectors prior to the trials for the state futsal team to play at nationals in January 2010.
Spectators will be asked to make a gold coin donation to go to various charities. Please look for the white bucket holders.

The players that played in the Queensland Winter Futsal League have been selected and will reprensent the Gold Coast at various State and Inter State Tournaments. The Players on the squad will trial for the Queensland State Team to play at the nationals in Canberra. The Squad's shedule the next few months includes:

2009 FFA National Futsal Championship
The 30th FFA National Futsal Championships will be held in Canberra, proudly hosted by Capital Football in conjunction with Football Federation Australia. The FFA National Futsal Championships are by far the biggest National football tournament in Australia, attracting up to 2000 competitors from Australian States, Territories, and several Nations within the Oceania Region
